Lancashire Cricket – Coach Education Programme Winter 2019/Spring 2020.

ECB Foundation 1 Courses (L1)

The ECB foundation 1 course is the new entry level course for coaches. The course is two days face to face, with a number of other online requirements. Cost is £150 and the goal is after the finish of day 2 you will be certified to lead coaching sessions for whatever age/stage of players you are working with (Inc. hard ball and nets)

You will be required to obtain an ECB DBS before starting the course and you will still need to complete an online assessment (MCQ) and safeguarding (online SYC), first aid is no longer a requirement of certification.

  • Myerscough, Preston: Sunday 3rd Nov, 17th Nov 2019
  • St. James, Bolton: Sunday 10th Nov, 24th Nov 2019
  • St. Bedes, Ormskirk: Sunday 10th Nov, 24th Nov 2019
  • QEGs, Blackburn: Sunday 1st Dec, 15th Dec 2019
  • St. Bedes, Ormskirk: Sunday 19th Jan, 2nd Feb 2020
  • Female Only: St. James, Bolton: Sunday 19th Jan, 2nd Feb 2020
  • Myerscough, Preston: Saturday 29th Feb, 14th March 2020
  • Oasis, Oldham: Sunday 1st March, 15th March 2020 – TBC
  • QEGs, Blackburn: Sunday 8th March, 29th March 2020

ECB Certificate in Coaching Young People & Adults Cricket (L2)

This course is designed to help to develop your confidence and equip you with the knowledge, understanding and applied skills to lead coaching sessions for young people and adults and create safe, enjoyable, and stimulating player-centred coaching environments.

There are only a couple of courses planned this year, and anybody wanting to go straight on to a L2 qualification this will be your last chance as from 2020 you will need to attend both the Foundation 1 and 2 courses. This course is recommended if you have played cricket or are coming from a coaching or teaching background.

ECB Coaching in Schools Module

This workshop is designed to develop your confidence and equip you with the knowledge, understanding and applied skills to lead player-centred coaching sessions in primary schools and support school staff teaching cricket, this is a C2S requirement

 

ECB Advanced Coach (previously L3)

The new advanced course is available to all coaches that have attained a L2 qualification, the course entry includes an interview and practical facilitation test and includes mitt work, sidearm, feeding and hitting.

ECB Health & Safety Assessment (UKBA H&S) Inc. Safeguarding & Protecting Children

This assessment is required for those seeking to enter the UK on a "Tier 5" creative and sporting Visa only and includes the safeguarding and protecting children training and requirement.

ECB Certificate Coaching Children’s Cricket (Overseas Players, EOT)

Overseas Ameteurs/Professional coming to play in this country during 2020 on a Tier 5 Visa need to complete the ECB Certificate in Coaching Children (L2) course.

The attendee MUST register on the course with their own email address and make sure that their address MATCHES their VISA application address.
