Girls Without Boundaries

Girls Without Boundaries programme

Girls Without Boundaries (GWB) is a six-week long programme incorporating dance and personal development aspects alongside, aiming to support guide and develop young women aged 11-16.

The programme works with girls across Manchester and Trafford who are currently experiencing issues such as low self-confidence, mental health issues, disengagement and the disadvantaged.

Having the aspect of dance alongside sessions on personal developments allows the girls to become creative and think outside the box, express themselves in any way they would like, which schools sometimes restrict.

At the end of the six weeks the girls will perform at the GWB competition where the winner will have the opportunity to dance at either a cricket match or at a Michael Carrick Foundation event.

Alongside the programme there are various fun, exciting workshops taking place such as SETM Academy, RAF Team Building day and Public speaking.

As COVID-19 has effected the programme, it now has turned online – running weekly sessions working on confidence and mental health while providing a free space to talk about any worries or concerns the girls may have.
