District Cricket Finals 2018
One of the oldest trophies in Lancashire Cricket, the Ainsworth Trophy dating back to 1924, is up for grabs in the next fortnight as the three District Cricket Finals, competed for by 22 Cricket Districts and featuring over 800 youngsters during the summer months, reach their conclusion. The competition this year has been generously sponsored by Thomas Cook.
On Wednesday 5 September, Tameside and Salford District U13s will compete for the Hacking Cup at Rochdale Cricket Club. Start 11am.
Thursday 6 September sees the U11 Bob Hurst Rose Bowl final, between Bolton and Oldham District U11s at Rainford Cricket Club. Start 11am.
The following week on Tuesday 11 September at Blackpool Cricket Club (start 10.45am), the prestigious Ainsworth Trophy will be fought out by the U15s from Oldham District and the winners of St Helens/West Lancs District and Manchester Central District.
