Lancashire Knock Out Cup Final 2018
The Final of the 2018 Lancashire Knock Out Cup, sponsored by Heineken, will be played between Clifton CC and Darwen CC on Sunday 2 September (11.00am start) at Ormskirk CC.
The line-up the final was confirmed over the weekend, following two thrilling semi-final matches.
It was a rain-hit Sunday afternoon in Lancashire, which meant that both ties were played with reduced overs.
The first semi-final at Northern's Moor Park, was reduced to 27 overs per side and saw an unbelievable finish, as the hosts, in chase of Clifton's 130-8 also finished on 130.
However, Northern were edged out as they lost a single wicket more during their run chase, to finish 130-9.
Ormskirk looked to book a home final with victory over Darwen in a 33 overs each match. Visitors Darwen batted first and posted an imposing looking 181-7.
Ormskirk struggled to get going in response and ended up 133 all out in the 30th over, stumbling to a 48-run defeat.
