Lancashire Knockout Cup 2019 semi-final update
It’s hotting up in the chase for this season’s Lancashire Knock Out Cup sponsored by Heineken with defending Champions Darwen through to the semi-finals.
They secured a comfortable 174-run win over Blackpool thanks to a 65-ball hundred to Marques Ackerman, including 6 x 6’s.
Setting their total of 296-6, they then went on to dismiss Blackpool for just 122 setting up a semi-final showdown with Horwich BCI who had a hard fought victory over title favourites Walsden by just 19 runs.
The other semi-final will see Norden take on Netherfield after both sides earned relatively comfortable victories in their quarter-finals with Netherfield chasing down St Anne’s total of 126 for the loss of just 3 wickets with solid all-round performance from Bevan Small scoring 72 not out and taking 3-25 with the ball. Norden now awaits after they chased down Garstang’s total of 182 for the loss of just 5 wickets.
Both semi-finals will now take place on Sunday 4 August.
