Cricket Expo: Michael Vaughan confirmed as first keynote speaker

Cricket Expo 2020 announcement

The Lancashire Cricket Foundation is excited to announce 2005 Ashes winning England Captain Michael Vaughan OBE as our first keynote speaker at next year’s Cricket Expo at Emirates Old Trafford.

Vaughan who played 82 Test matches for England, enjoyed his crowning moment in 2005 as he led England to a series victory over Australia for the first time 19 years.

Since retirement in 2009, Vaughan has become a regular figure and personality on television and has turned his hand to commentary on BBC Test Match Special and with Channel 5.

Former Wisden Cricketer of the Year, Ashes’ hero and one of the most prolific England Cricket Captains of recent years, the 44-year-old will intrigue Expo attendees with his anecdotal tales of life at the top of his game.

The Cricket Expo will take place on Saturday 29 February and Sunday 1 March 2020 and is aimed at the capturing the imagination of the entire recreational game, offering something for everyone across the weekend.

The whole of Emirates Old Trafford will be dedicated to providing a platform of activities, informative workshops, and suppliers exhibiting the latest products and solutions to assist in the running of a Cricket Club.

Clubs are encouraged to bring multiple members along, from players and coaches, to groundsman and administrators, and any volunteers involved in day-to-day club life.
