Coach Core Awards 2020

Will Radcliffe has been shortlisted to make the final three in the Graduate of the Year category

Lancashire Cricket Foundation coach Will Radcliffe has been shortlisted for Graduate of the Year in the Coach Core Awards 2020.

Since completing his Coach Core apprenticeship with us in August 2018, Will has been employed full-time by the Foundation and has progressed to have more autonomy in his work as he has shown the maturity, flexibility, understanding and capability for to be able to entrust him with this.

Working predominately on the Lord’s Taverners funded Wicketz programme, Will has made significant progress with asserting control of challenging young people - only a couple of years older than him - which links to his long-term objective of being able to lead on a wide range of programmes, which benefit those on the margins of society or who would normally be excluded from activity.

The Awards will take place online on Thursday 3rd December, when the winners from the six categories will be announced.

Lancashire Cricket Foundation is proud to have been a part of the Coach Core programme since 2017, with Kate Edwards, who narrowly missed out on being shortlisted for an award, being the fourth Apprentice we have supported in this time. All graduates have since progressed into employment.

The Coach Core programme was established to capture the spirit of the 2012 Olympic Games by their Royal Highnesses through The Royal Foundation, who wanted to harness the power of sport, and its ability to change lives and empower young people.
