Bolton's HAF is in full swing

Having begun last month, Bolton's HAF (Holiday Activities and Food Programme) is in full swing with children taking part in free creative sessions offering sports and games.

Funded by the Department for Education and co-ordinated locally by Bolton Council, the HAF programme has been a great success so far.  The funding, which supports children and families on benefits, provides physical activity and food for a minimum of 4 hours a day, 4 days a week.

A whole host of activities have taken place so far, including family cookouts and skate park sessions, with several other activities scheduled for the rest of the summer.

Although some sessions are just for children and young people in receipt of benefits related free school meals, many are open to all young people (most council sessions, skate parks and our free community parks sessions).
