Lancashire Boys U10's finish runners-up in Taunton

The Lancashire Boys U10s finished as runners-up at the Taunton Festival at Kings College.

On the opening day of the six-team tournament, the boys got off to a superb start with a 46-run victory against Northants. Brilliant innings from both Adrian Giby who scored 69 and Hrithvik Prakash who posted 34, added to a wonderful bowling performance from Noah Ashworth who ended up with 3-12 in 7 overs.

On Tuesday, Dorset defeated the Lancashire side despite a really good 34 from Shaun McGowan top scoring with 34.

On the final day of the tournament, Lancs posted 239-2 against Somerset, with Giby scoring 89 and Prakash scoring 96, in what was a dominant win.

A great performance from all 14 boys, with special mention to Adrian Giby (179 runs), Hrithvik Prakash (131 runs), Noah Ashworth (5 wickets in 2 games) and wicket-keeper Shaun McGowan for a sterling performance behind the stumps.
