Thunder Cup Semi-Finalists Confirmed After Group Stage

Lindow seal top spot
Lindow secured top spot in their group with a commanding 144-run victory over Edgworth after producing one of the standout batting performances of the competition.
After electing to bat, Lindow finished on 300-3 from their 40 overs, thanks to a 206-run partnership between Holly Topp and Heidi Cheadle. Topp struck a magnificent 135 from 106 deliveries, including 21 boundaries, while Cheadle's unbeaten 100 came from just 70 balls to put their side firmly in control.
Edgworth battled through the chase with Eve Murray making 33 and Emme Ferguson finishing unbeaten on 30, but regular wickets halted any hopes of a comeback. Ivy Floyd led the bowling attack with impressive figures of 4-21 as Edgworth closed on 156-9.
Ramsbottom book their place
Ramsbottom joined Lindow in the semi-finals after a convincing 94-run victory over Didsbury at Acre Bottom.
A well-rounded batting display saw Ramsbottom post 243-9, with Scarlett Anderson top-scoring with 41. Bryony Gledhill (39), Manvi Rajshetty (36) and captain Maeve Jones (35) all made contributions to set a competitive total.
Didsbury's reply was anchored by Thisumi Jayawarna (31) and Sarah McCann (29), but Ramsbottom's disciplined attack kept the pressure on throughout the innings. Anderson completed an outstanding all-round performance by claiming 4-37, while Jones added 2-16 as Didsbury were bowled out for 149 in 38.3 overs.
