Lancashire Cricket Foundation are proud to support the cricket and education charity Project Front Foot, helping to provide cricket kit and equipment to young people i communities where access to sporting resources can make a difference.

Founded in February 2009 and a Registered UK Charity since October 2011, Project Front Foot provides cricket kit, coaching and age-group matches for children from Mumbai’s Dharavi slum during the November to May season.

In addition to their work in Dharavi, he charity provides basic packages of cricket equipment, including bats, tennis balls and wickets, to schools through its Rural Schools Initiative. Project Front Foot has also expanded its work to support disadvantaged and displaced young people in other communities around the world.

As a key partner, the Lancashire Cricket Foundation donates cricket kit and equipment to help Project Front Foot make a difference to the lives of young people through cricket.

This support is made possible in part through contributions from schools, families, clubs and the wider cricket community. AKS Lytham Cricket has proudly supported the Lancashire Cricket Foundation and its Project Front Foot initiative with a substantial donation of cricket equipment to benefit communities in and around Mumbai. The donation brought together contributions from pupils, families and local clubs, who generously donated kit to help communities where access to cricket equipment can open doors and create opportunities.

Through contributions such as these, the Lancashire Cricket Foundation is able to help Project Front Foot continue its work, ensuring that equipment which may no longer be required locally can be given a new purpose and reach young people who can benefit from it.

The reach of these donations extends beyond India, with a 22-kilo bag of donated kit delivered to Shatila refugee camp in Beirut last year for use by young Syrian cricketers involved in the Alsama project. The bag included Lancashire Cricket Club and Manchester Originals shirts, courtesy of Kay Floyd and the Lancashire Cricket Foundation.
