Former Chairperson to the Lancashire Cricket Board and current pitch advisor.

Awarded National Pitch Care Cricket Groundsperson of the Year (Lord's presentation), 2007.

Regular host to Lancashire Cricket Club fixtures.

Played Lancashire Schools/Federation, League Professional and represented Lancashire and Leicestershire at county level.

Umpire C1 Status at A.C.O. level.

Groundsman at Bolton C.C. (10 years), Leigh C.C. ( 5years) Haydock C.C. (20years) and Westhoughton C.C. (10 years)
