Emirates Old Trafford to host 2022 Lancashire Knockout Cup Final
Lancashire Cricket Foundation is delighted to announce that Emirates Old Trafford will once again host the Lancashire Knockout Cup Final this year.
The 2022 final will be played on Sunday 11 September at the home of Lancashire Cricket. Emirates Old Trafford also played host to the 2021 final when Ormskirk beat Burnley by seven wickets.
The First Round draw for the 2022 edition took place in December - at Emirates Old Trafford - and will see champions Ormskirk will host Knight Riders, as 32 teams from 10 different leagues across the region enter the competition.
John Murphy, Clubs and Leagues Director for the Lancashire Cricket Foundation, said: “This competition is the pinnacle for all club cricketers in our county and we are delighted to welcome the final back to Emirates Old Trafford once again.
“To be part of the team who lifts the Lancashire Knockout Cup trophy is every club cricketers dream and to have the opportunity to do that on the Emirates Old Trafford pitch is really special.
“Hosting the final gives again us the chance to make it a great spectacle, and we are already looking forward to this showpiece event next September.”
