Inter League Competition 2021

Inter League Competition 2021

Draw, fixtures and rules & regulations for the 2021 Inter League Competition

Lancashire Cricket's boys Inter League programme has been finalised with competing leagues, groupings, fixtures and rules & regulations all presented here involving young players at U11, U13, U15 and U18 age groups.

The U18 programme starts in late May whilst the U11, U13 and U15 programmes will be run in the school summer holidays.

A representative group of all junior leagues in Lancashire have worked with us through the winter to get us to this stage, their knowledge, experience and input has been invaluable.

At the heart of the programme is player development and the rules and regulations reflect this, important to us also is coach development and Inter League officials will be invited to work with professional coaches around the 'Lancashire Way' an ideology around how Lancashire teams play their cricket and how we coach players in our County.

We are asking that leagues (and their clubs) ask their players to commit to Inter League Cricket, over any given club fixture, we appreciate there may be clashes, with club games particularly at U18 level but a player pathway fixture should be prioritised in the best interest of the young player and we will work with clubs on this throughout the programme.

Clubs should direct any enquiry they may have to their local Cricket Development Officer who have all been assigned to work with our junior leagues to ensure we work with league volunteers in making a success of the programme.

Our Women & Girls programme will involve squads of players at U12, U14 and open age levels with more information to follow on this in due course.
