Wicketz Programme End of Year Celebration
Lancashire Cricket Club have donated a number of shirts and gifts to the community programme, Lord's Taverners Wicketz.
The Wicketz programme, run in association with Lord's Taverners, aims to inspire all communities through the game of cricket for 8-16 year olds.
The Wicketz end of year celebrations took place on Saturday 18 December and included young people based in Trafford and Stretford who have attended the programme throughout the year.
Howard Shore, Community Programme Manager at the Lancashire Cricket Foundation, said: ‘It’s been great that we’ve been able to reward people who come all year to Wicketz to a day like this and show them something different.
"It was great to support community cricket and give something back at Christmas-time. The children who are attending have a knowledge of cricket but hopefully this will inspire them to learn about Lancashire and the great players this club has."
