Current women's and girls' offering at your club: Senior Women’s Softball Team
Established women's and girls' set-up since: The team started in July 2020 with around 20 ladies expressing an interest to play. The club set up a meet and greet / training session at the ground which was well attended, with a small game showing the basics of cricket. They have since met each week and continued with training sessions, with a coach from the men’s team to help improve techniques and pass on expertise
Key people involved with women's and girls' cricket: At the moment Karen Meara and Katherine Fawcett are taking the lead and setting up the team, they are also receiving coaching advice from Nathan Potts and Tony Ganner
Goals for next season: Blackley are aiming to have a team in the league next season. Over the next five years they would like to have a couple of senior teams and also some junior girls teams
