Lancashire Cricket Foundation Seeks Consultants for Landmark Heritage Project at Emirates Old Trafford
Lancashire Cricket Foundation (LCF) is excited to announce two new consultancy opportunities as part of its ambitious Lancashire Cricket Heritage Experience project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF).
Following the successful award of a Development Phase grant, LCF is now seeking an Evaluation Consultant and an Activity Plan Consultant to support its Round 2 application to NLHF. Both roles will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of the Foundation’s heritage and engagement plans.
About the Heritage Project
The Lancashire Cricket Heritage Experience will celebrate and share the rich history of cricket in the region through the creation of a new heritage hub at Emirates Old Trafford. The hub will feature interactive displays, oral histories, and hands-on exhibits showcasing over 160 years of Lancashire cricketing heritage. Additional displays are also planned for the Pavilion, stadium tunnels, and concourse areas.
Established in 1857, Emirates Old Trafford is the second oldest Test Match venue in England and has hosted international cricket since 1884. Its historic grounds have witnessed legendary matches and significant cultural moments, and its extensive archive—comprising books, paintings, photographs, bats, balls, and trophies—tells a powerful story of sporting and community heritage.
