Lancashire D40 Quarter Heading To India
Four Lancashire Disability players were given the fantastic news that they have been selected for the up and coming England Pan Disability squad that will be heading over to India for the 5 match T20 series in Delhi and Japiur.
Trialled last season the Pan Disability brings together players from the 3 groups of disability cricket, Deaf, Learning and Physical Disabilities when England came out victorious against India.

James Dixon of Sefton Park CC was a major contributor in that series and once again sees his name in the squad, hoping to follow up his Lords Taverners Disability Cricketer of the Year award with an overseas series victory. The right arm seam bowler and right-handed bat claimed 5 wickets in the 4th game last season and claimed player of the series, he was also a vital cog in the Lancashire team that won the county championship, picking up 4 wickets in the final as well as his innings of 61. Jimmy was born Deaf and has been a member of the Lancashire squad since 2020.

Tom Meskell is a LD player who plays his local league cricket at Firwood Bootle CC, his name has been included in the England set up following his hard work throughout the season in the D40 Championship and the DPL. Tom recorded a score of 221 not out for Lancashire last season as well as picking up valuable wickets against Yorkshire and Hampshire. Tom is a right hand batter and right arm bowler and following his successes claimed Disability Player of the season. Tom also joined the Lancashire D40 team in 2021.

As well as our regular D40 players, Callum Flynn and Jordan Williams are preparing to board the plane to head out. Both Callum and Jordan were originally in the Physical Disability Squad before the 3 squads merged. Both are England Regulars as well as being included in the DPL.
The tour heads out on January 22nd until 8th February, we wish the boys all the best and will be watching out closely to see how they perform.
