It was a busy afternoon on Merseyside with over six matches being played simultaneously at Northern Cricket Club, with the quarter-finals and semi-finals taking place after the group fixtures.

With so many schools competing, the teams were split into groups and the top half of the tournament included the likes of St Johns Read, Baines Endowned, St Marks Salford, St James Orell, Audley PS, St Joseph’s Huyton, Deepdale, St Johns Evangelist & St Paul’s Rossendale.

Meanwhile the bottom half of the competition included St Johns Padiham, Trinity St Michaels, Kings Road, Barnacre Road, St Edmunds and St Thomas, West Didsbury, Heasandford PS, St Anne’s and St Joseph’s, Bowerham, Walverden and St Michaels B.

The eagerly awaited final pitted Deepdale versus St Michaels, with the latter triumphing after some impressive bowling.
