Lancashire Cricket Thunder Cup Round-Up: wins for Lindow, Leigh and Stockport Georgians

Round two of the Thunder Cup took place on Saturday 18 May and it was a day of commanding performances as Lindow, Leigh and Stockport Georgians all secured victories.

Lindow beat Sefton Park by 191 runs

Lindow 381-5 (H. Topp 148, H. Cheadle 128; A Wright 3-61, E Lamb 2-45)

Sefton Park 190 (E. Lamb 94, A. Kelly 49; E. Rossi 3-38, C. Ashworth 3-19)

Leigh beat Leyland by 60 runs

Leigh 219 (L. Page 67, S. Heaton 51; M. Macleod 3-28, L. Whittaker 2-31)

Leyland 159 (G. Nuttall 33; P. Hulme 3-28)

Stockport Georgians beat Edgworth by 8 wickets

Edgworth 107 (I. Northrop 25; N. Boon 3-25, R. Sedhu 3-26)

Stockport Georgians 110-2 (A. Sammons 48, S. Thomas 28; E Murray 1-50)

Didsbury vs Ramsbottom

Round three takes place on Sunday 22 June with the fixtures as follows:

Group 1:

Edgworth CC vs Didsbury CC

Ramsbottom CC vs Stockport Georgians CC

Group 2:

Lindow CC vs Leigh CC

Leyland CC vs Sefton Park CC

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals in August, leading to the final in September where the 2025 Lancashire Thunder champions will be announced.
