The D40 squad headed to PA Cricket in Bury for another full on session. Slightly depleted due to England camps, rugby cup games and illness.

The group looked at some catching under pressure whilst also improving their fitness. The boys all pushed themselves professionally and were quiet when padding up.

We then looked at the sweep shot and reverse sweep and seeing how we could adapt it to work for each player, keeping the basic footprint but allowing each individual to develop a successful shot and often a new one to add to their scoring selection.

We finally got in the nets to bat in pairs, looking at trying to rotate the strike within 3 deliveries, a challenge that the batters rose too. before finally seeing if the final pair could score off every ball, whilst the bowlers worked hard to restrict them.

Ellie joined the group again for the afternoon, getting the chance to talk with the individuals, whilst also working with our young keeper in the 2nd lane.
