Tyler Preece made his first 50 for Lancashire as the Dev team went on to claim their first victory in competitive county cricket.
Winning the toss Lancashire opted to bat at Neston CC, allowing Tyler and the returning Mark McDonald to go out and open the batting, the pair a good start adding 33 runs in the first 9 overs before the latter departed for 17.
Liam Griffiths joined Tyler at the crease and together they battled through helping each other to remain calm, rotating strike at every possible chance whilst dispatching the loose balls to the boundary.
Liam reached his 50 at a run a ball before Tyler swept the ball to deep square for 4 to reach the milestone off 73 balls
As Preece departed, the pair had added 118 runs for the second wicket.
Lancashire looked to progress and with some well timed shots at the end from Matty Tamburro, they closed on 255.
In reply, Cheshire found it hard work initially as Jack Fisher and Matty Tamburro put the ball on the spot, Jack finding some turn and Matty pushing it across the batters with good pace leaving the host 32/4 off 9 overs, Jack claiming 3.
Stevenson struck the ball well and made a challenge but unfortunately would fall short of his 50 as McDonald trapped him LBW.
The experienced Billy Gartside came on to wrap up the victory in the 21st over, bowling Henderson.
A good finish to the season for the Dev team in their first competitive season. A season of struggle initially through Injury and exams, but the development of the group is starting to show through with the quest side.
