Humayun brings extensive experience in youth development, community engagement, and equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) to the Board of the Lancashire Cricket Foundation.
With over 20 years of experience working across grassroots sport and the voluntary and community sector, Humayun has dedicated his career to improving opportunities for underrepresented communities. He has played a leading role in developing and strengthening grassroots Bangladeshi cricket in the North, supporting participation pathways, club development, and community cohesion through sport.
Humayun is recognised for his strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, with significant experience advising organisations on inclusive practice, cultural awareness, and reducing barriers to engagement. His work has focused on ensuring that young people and marginalised groups have equitable access to sport, leadership opportunities, and safe environments.
He also brings valuable expertise in funding and organisational sustainability, having successfully supported and secured investment from a range of public, charitable, and community funding bodies. This includes experience in programme design, partnership development, and governance-linked compliance requirements.
Humayun has previous board-level experience, contributing to strategic oversight, governance, safeguarding, and organisational development within community and sports organisations. His approach combines lived experience, professional insight, and a strong understanding of community needs.
He is passionate about the power of cricket to inspire, connect communities, and create positive social impact across Lancashire.
