Kate is a current professional cricketer for Lancashire CC, having made her senior debut at just 13. She represented England Women from 2013 to 2025 and remains committed to Lancashire for the 2026 season. In 2005, she became the first female to join the Lancashire Academy, going on to break down barriers and help shape a clear pathway from amateur to professional cricket for women and girls.
Passionate about equality of opportunity, Kate brings valuable lived experience to the Lancashire Cricket Foundation Board. She is committed to increasing participation, raising standards, and expanding opportunities across the game, with a strong focus on the women’s and girls’ game while supporting growth across all areas of cricket.
Alongside leadership roles within various squads, Kate has served as the England PCA representative for the past five years and now represents the Lancashire women’s team. This role strengthens her understanding of the game’s challenges and ensures players’ voices are heard at the highest levels.
