Lancashire Cricket – Coach Education Programme

ECB Coaching Pathway

ECB Support Coach has replaced ECB Coach Support Worker

ECB Core Coach is the new level 2 course and replaces both ECB Coaching Children’s Cricket and ECB Coaching Young people and Adults.

The Foundation pathway is:

ECB Support Coach (Assistant Coach level)

ECB Foundation I Coach (Qualified Coach status)

ECB Core Coach (Level 2)

The following course follow above the Foundation Pathway

ECB Advanced Coach (Level 3)

ECB Specialist Coach (Level 4)

ECB Support Coach

ECB Support Coach is a new coach development programme consisting of e-Learning and face-to-face modules that will help you take your first steps into coaching cricket.

This programme has been designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and confidence to support qualified coaches. An ECB Support Coach is not qualified to lead coaching sessions independently and therefore must be supervised by a qualified cricket coach.

ECB Foundation I Coach

ECB Foundation I Coach is a blend of e-learning and face-to-face modules led by ECB Coach Developers will explore what coaching looks like, the impact you can have as an ECB Foundation I Coach, the skills you can help players to develop and how you can learn from your experiences.

By committing yourself to this programme and becoming a qualified coach you will become an important part of the ECB’s coaching family that works together to help players improve, have fun, be safe and learn at every stage of their development.

 ECB Core Coach

The ECB Core Coach programme will become an entry level qualification for coaching cricket in England and Wales alongside ECB Foundation I Coach. This programme is one part of a wider strategic response to needing more coaches on the ground able to inspire and develop players.  ECB Core Coach will replace the ECB Certificate in Coaching Children’s Cricket and ECB Certificate in Coaching Young People and Adults’ Cricket provision.

ECB Advanced Coach

This programme has been designed to build on your experiences and give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to help players improve their game as well as developing a wide area of expertise when coaching individuals, units and teams.

ECB Specialist Coach

This programme has been designed to build on your experiences to give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to challenge existing thinking and beliefs about cricket coaching and develop specialist areas of expertise when coaching individuals, units and teams.

Lancashire Cricket Overseas Pro Course 2022 (ECB Core Coach)

Overseas Professionals coming to play in the UK during 2022 on a Tier 5 Visa and have not already completed a UKCC Level 2 coaching course or equivalent need to complete the ECB Core Coach course.

NB: The attendee MUST register on the course with their own email address and make sure that their address MATCHES their VISA application address.

9-30 till 4pm

ECB Health & Safety Assessment (UKBA H&S) Inc. Safeguarding training

This assessment is required for those seeking to enter the UK on a "Tier 5" creative and sporting Visa only. This course is designed for overseas professional who already hold a UKCC level 2 and need to renew their minimum requirements. The course includes the safeguarding training.
